Port Blair, July 23: A young couple, found inside a dark glass Maruti Zen Car, near Lambaline INS Utkrosh, was picked by Police Control Room Vehicles this evening. The PCR vehicle trapped both the love bird, when they were sitting inside the car and some resident of the area informed Police Control Room about this, following some suspicion.
However, Police Department acted very fast and very responsibly and did not force the couple to come out of the vehicle infront of large number of public, who had gathered to know more about the incident. When lady police constables arrived the spot the car was taken to PS Aberdeen, where the boy and girl, who were sitting inside the car, were questioned.
According to Police the girl Radha (name Changed) and the Boy Gulab (name changed) are in a relationship and told police that they are going to marry soon. Both of them of 18 plus, hence were allowed to go, after their parents reached the Police Station. However, challan has been imposed on the boy for using dark film on his car.
“Police is taking appropriate action under relevant sections of law,” SBS Tyagi, the Superintendent of Police, South Andaman told Andaman Sheekha today.
However, residents of the area alleged that the car was often found parked at the same place in last 10 days. This incident has also raised question over the Traffic Police, which is still unable to enforce the ‘Dark Film Removal’ law effectively in these Islands.
