Port Blair, Oct 23: Union Minister, Mr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Ministry of State for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Chemicals & Fertilizers called for a meeting at Secretariat. In the meeting, the Minister informed that, NHIDCL has awarded 240 KM (Appx.) Project and in addition, Ministry has in principle declared 137 Km additional road length (i.eDiglipur Bazzar to Hati Level, Neil & Havelock Island and Little Andaman) as National Highway in the isles. Mr. Vishal Jolly, State President BJP, requested the minister to allot the additional declared National Highway 137 Km length road work to APWD. He also mentioned that, previously such rural road works was allotted to APWD only. The minister has assured that, a positive steps will be taken after examine.
