Port Blair, Oct 16: A theft case was solved by PS Pahargaon within 24 hours and two accused arrested along with full recovery of Rs. 20,000 and other documents.
On 01/10/2018, an FIR was registered on the complaint of Mr. Diljit Singh, resident of Dollygunj regarding theft of his purse containing Rs. 20,000 cash and other relevant document while he was in a local gymnasium.
The Anti-Burglary Squad of PS Pahargaon comprising SI P. Jeevan along with HC P. Babu Rao, PCs Vijay Ram, S. Sudharsanan of PS Pahargaon immediately swung into investigation and interrogated several suspect persons associated with the gymnasium.
During sustained interrogation 2 accused namely Saheb Dawan and Sandeep Kr. Parmanik, both resident of Bathu Basti confessed to the crime and disclosed about the theft of purse & relevant documents. Based on their confession the stolen purse, Rs.19000 cash and other documents were recovered from their possession within no time. The accused were arrested and produced before the Court from where they have been remanded to judicial custody.
The entire investigation was conducted under the command of Inspr. Sahil Shamsuddin, SHO Pahargaon under the overall supervision of Mr. Nishant Gupta, DSP (South Andaman).
