Port Blair, Oct 03: Dr Atish Kumar has taken over the charge of Director of Information, Publicity and Tourism (In Charge) today. He has taken over the charge from Mr. Amit Anand, who will now go back to his parent department, Forest. According to reports Mr Atish Kumar was earlier posted as DRC, Kolkata.
Mr Amit Anand, had a successful tenure as Director of Information Publicity and Tourism. During his tenure he was able to bring some major reforms, out of which many changes were highly appreciated by local media units. Reforms like making the advertisement distribution system online, solved many problems of local media persons and was welcomed wholeheartedly by all almost all media units.
