Port Blair, Aug 06: The matter for extension of recognition of private schools in A&N Islands is pending in the education department since many months and due to which, the DEOs of the concerned Zone are denying to endorse their signatures on the experience certificates issued by the such schools which is mandatory for the aspiring candidates for applying to the posts of PSTs latest by 14.08.2018.
When the matter was brought to his notice by the parents, candidates as well as managements of the private schools, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament currently camping at Delhi for attending Parliament Session, has taken the matter with the Lt. Governor on 06.08.2018 for some reliefs at the earliest.
Grant recognition to the private schools those who submitted requisite information/documents.
However, if the Education department finds any short fall in the documents submitted by the school, in that event, they may be given provisional recognition and ask for submission of required document in the meantime keeping in view of urgency for which the last date for apply for the post of PST is 14.08.2018 or in alternate direct the DEOs concerned to endorse their countersign in the certificate issued by the non-recognized schools and to accept the same by the departments for applying to the post of PST.
The claim of children Education Allowance of wards of govt. servants whose children are studying in the private school, pending in the various departments may be allowed during pending consideration of recognition.
