Port Blair, July 15: Three Bike riders have suffered serious injuries in three different road accidents reported from Brookshabad, Dollygunj and Aberdeen Water Sport Complex.
In first road accident a Tata Indica, G-1578 (Tourist Vehicle) driver smashed a bike rider infront of the water treatment unit of G B Pant (situated near Abderdeen Water Sports Complex). The driver who was under heavy influence of liquor reportedly dragged the bike up to 50 mtrs, injuring the bike rider, Mr. Someshwar Rao, seriously. The Bike rider was immediately rushed to hospital and the driver was taken to hospital for medical test.
In second incident another person was severely injured after his biked smashed with a car at Dollygunj this afternoon. The accident happened on main Road near the Dollygunj Bus stand at around 02:30 p.m. today.
According to reports the bike (Hero Honda Glamour) was coming from the direction of Dollygunj and the car (Hyundai i10) from the Minnie Bay side, suddenly the car curved to its right hand side and the bike smashed the car. The injured, biker was immediately rushed to the hospital. Similar accident was also reported from the Brookshabad area this afternoon today.
