Port Blair, July 23: A Film Orientation Course for Children is being conducted by the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Panchwati, Rangat, Andaman and Nicobar islands from 20th of July, 2018.
The course will introduce theory, history, techniques & applications of film making to the students. It will also include artistic & aesthetic analysis of films laying emphasis on developing the skill of storytelling.
Course Director Ritesh Taksande specialises in teaching film making skills to kids and has conducted such Courses for FTII earlier in Pune, Patna, Nagpur, Jaipur, Rangat (Andaman & Nicobar Islands) and Rudraprayag (Uttarakhand).
The Course, the second in two years, is being conducted in association with Department of Information and Publicity, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It will conclude on 25th of July, 2018.
