Port Blair, July 19: “As a part of Social Service Activities and to celebrate Van Mahotsav 2018, a Tree Plantation Drive was conducted on 19 July 2018 from 0930 h to 1200h by the cadets of 1 (AN) Naval Unit NCC, Port Blair with the help of Forest Extension and Publicity Division at JNRM College Complex, GTMSS Haddo (Telugu) School complex, GSS Junglighat, Girls school complex and NCC Naval office complex. The NCC cadets, students and teachers of concerned schools and college planted 150 saplings provided by the Forest Extension and Publicity Division. The Principal, GSSS, Telegu Medium Haddo was kind enough to give guidance and encouragement to the cadets and students on this occasion. The event was coordinated by the office and ground staff of 1(AN) Naval Unit NCC, Junglighat.”
