Port Blair, Feb 20: Director General Indian Coast Guard, Rajendra Singh, President Tatrakshak Medal, Tatrakshak Medal reviewed the progress of operational and infrastructure projects at Diglipur and Mayabunder. The DGICG and Mrs. Urmila singh, President Tatrakshika laid foundation stone for two accommodation projects for Coast Guard personnel at Mayabunder and also inaugurated newly constructed SBI ATM at Diglipur.
The Flag Officer whilst interacting with Coast Guard Officers & Men and civil dignitaries emphasized upon fast tracking the projects for berthing facilities and ops logistics infrastructure to accommodate new ships.
To spread green and clean India awareness, DGICG and Mrs. Rajendra Singh also participated in tree plantation drive at both places, during the event, the Flag Officer also appreciated efforts put in by CGRHQ(A&N) towards Swatch Sagar Abhiyan and Green & clean India awareness drives.
