Port Blair, Feb 19: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rangat concluded seven days Life Skill Education Programme at Govt. Senior Secondary School, Bakultala today which commenced from 13/02/2018. In the valedictory function Mrs Shrimati Bepari, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Bakultala was the chief guest while other guests Mr. C.K. Paul, Rtd. Teacher, National Awardee, Mr. Krishna Swamy, PGT, Incharge of the school, Smti Jagadishwari Roy, GTT and Smti, Suker Muni, Trainer of the programme were also present on the occasion.
In his address Mr. Krishna Swamy, Incharge of the school lauded the effort of Nehru Yuva Kendra and said we never got such opportunity in our school and it will certainly benefit our students. In her address Smti Jagadishwari, GTT of the school said this type of programme enriched the knowledge of the students and they will be able to become responsible citizen of the society. In her address the chief guest Smti Shrimati Bepari, Pradhan advised the students not to indulge in anti social activities and we should respect our parents.
Further, she also advised student to attend every programme for getting information. She also requested student to spread the accumulated information among peer groups so that they would be able to take maximum benefit from it. She also appreciated the effort of NYK, Rangat in organizing the programme and requested to conduct the same programme in other schools also. Earlier Mr. Alphonce Toppo, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Rangat welcomed the chief guest and other guests. At the end of the programme he also proposed vote of thanks.
During the programme group discussion on the topic of Water Problem , Health Problem, Sanitation Problem and Unemployment and vulnerability of Adolescents were discussed and presented by the students. Besides the regular session on the issue of adolescent cultural activities, sports activities , National flagship programme, and tour were also undertaken.
