Port Blair, Jan 24: The main function of the 69th Republic Day Celebrations will be organized at Netaji Stadium on 26th January, 2018. The Lt. Governor of A&N Islands, Admiral D. K. Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) will unfurl the National Flag and take the salute of the Republic Day Parade.
On the eve of the function, special instructions are issued to the general public who will come to witness the parade at Netaji Stadium. General public is requested to not bring the following items with them while coming to Netaji Stadium to witness the parade as these items will not be permitted inside the stadium:-Cameras, Binoculars, Handbags, Briefcases, Transistors, Bidi – Cigarette, Lighters and Match Boxes, Tiffin boxes, Gutka, Supari, Tobacco, Water bottles ,Lunch Boxes, Sharp objects like knife, screwdriver etc.
Members of the public are requested not to touch any suspicious object. They are requested to immediately report about the presence of any unidentified/ suspected object, suspicious movement of individuals & vehicles or anything out of the ordinary, to the nearest policeman.
