Port Blair, Jan 23: Hundreds of LPG Customers of Consumer Cooperative Society gheraoed the LPG Truck of CCS at Haddo area yesterday, as soon as the truck reached the area to distribute LPG Cylinders.
As per reports, after the CCS, stopped issue of LPG cylinders from the CCS Unit Brookshabad, needy customers are now following all LPG trucks they find on the road, and yesterday when the CCS LPG Truck was distributing the Cylinders at Haddo, large number of people came from different area to get the cylinder but when the quantity went less than the requirement the people at the area gheraoed the truck.
Later a Police team reached the spot and after several hours a receipt was given to all by CCS and was assured that they will be supplied the LPG Cylinders today.
It is learnt that at around 07:00 pm today the CCS unit distributed the LPG Cylinders to those in the Haddo area to whom they issued receipt yesterday.
