Port Blair, Dec 24: The Member of Parliament Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, has refuted a news item published under caption “Ray to Shift Loyalty” in a fortnightly news paper Published from New Delhi in its edition of December,16-31,2017.
In his official pres release the MP said that the said news is totally fake & baseless and also not relevant to the fact.
“Such news item might have been given in the public domain to malign my image and also with the vested interest of any opponent who does not want my existence in the political fields. The public of this UT Islands are well known about my efforts towards development of this territory. I belief that anyone else could not be able to misleads the public of this UT Islands with such fake & fabricated news,” the MP said.
He further said that “my integrity & honesty towards the nation are only assets to which the Public of this UT Islands have appraised my initiatives and elected me for three times as Member of Parliament since 1999. Ever since my induction in the political field, I was not been found involved with in any corruption or criminal conspiracy. The financial condition & wealth positions now acquiring by me are same as available in 1999.”
The MP vide letter No.97/MP/ANI/2017/948 dated 20.12.2017 has taken the matter seriously with the Editor, of the fortnightly and asked him to withdraw such fake & misleading news from the public domain immediately by issuing corrigendum.
