Port Blair, Dec 15: Some Quantity of Suspected Ganja has been found from a IX Class School student of Sitanagar Model School, Diglipur, two days back by the class teacher of IX class.
As per reports, the matter was then highlighted to the Head of the Institution. However it is two days now but the Education Department is still ascertaining the facts.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha a senior officer of the Education Department told Andaman Sheekha in case of anonymity that he is investigating whether it was Ganja, Sukha or Zarda.
“It is different matter that none of these substances are permitted in the school but if it is the case of Ganja then the matter should be taken up with the Police to nab the source who are targeting the children,” he said.
