Diglipur, Nov 29: The Geetanjali ATR night service Bus, which was left from Port Blair to Diglipur at 12.30 PM (noon) on 28th November overturned at Ganna Dabla village near Mohanpur, nearly 15 km away from Mayabunder.
As per reports, while giving a passage to a car and while negotiating with a turn, the accident occurred. The driver later claimed that steering lock as the reason behind the accident.
The driver complained about chest pain after the accident and he is presently admitted at CHC Mayabunder.
The bus usually reaches Diglipur Bazar in the midnight but, because of the accident the passengers could reach Diglipur Bazaar, only by next morning. As per sources, PS Kalighat registered a case in this regard and further investigations are on. Altogether there were 21 passengers in the Bus but no one suffered any injuries.
