Port Blair, Oct 25: A delegation of the Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry led by its President, Mr. Girish Arora along with General Secretary, Mr. Krishna and Past Presidents Mr. Mohamed H. Jadwet and Mr.G. Bhasker on 23rd made a courtesy call on the Lt. Governor and formally Welcomed him to the islands. They had a detailed discussion on the economic issues pertaining to the islands and future prospects. They also highlighted the immediate problems like diversion of land, relaxation in RAP, impact of GST and renewal of bar licenses.
The Lt. Governor gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation that all matters would be looked into and resolved on priority. Lt. Governor emphasized that economic development is a priority of the Government of India and the Andaman &Nicobar Administration.
