Port Blair, Oct 17: Andaman Safaris in association with YCCI under the aegis of FMSCI, is all set to organize Andaman’s first Mega Motor Sports Event, AUTO CROSS 2017.
Addressing a press conference at Shompen Hotel Port Blair recently, Mr. Ashraf Haneef, Director Andaman Safaries had said that the motto of organizing this event in the island is bring about awareness on traffic rules and safety on the road also to inform the youth that speed and racing is meant for racing tracks under expert guidance and not for the roads.
Mr. Tamheed, Joint Secretary of YCCI informed media that this event is open for both male and female race lovers. Candidates can approach as individual or as team of 3 to 4, who are 21yr and above.
For this event all types of hatchback, sedan or SUVs will be allowed. The event will be held on 5th of November. Registration for this event will close on 30 Oct 2017 and test run and events briefing will be carried out on 4th November 2017 for participants. As per reports, 1st November officials from FMSCI will come down to Port Blair to prepare the racing track according to their guidelines.
Rupal Patel, a star from the hit Star Plus show ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ will be the chief guest for the event.
