Port Blair, Sept. 22: Thetwo week long Training programme on “Administrative & Financial Matters” organized by Department of Fisheries, A&N Administration with the help of Institute of Secretariat Training & Management (ISTM), New Delhi concluded today in the Conference Hall of Directorate of Fisheries, Port Blair. The valedictory function was chaired by Shri Ramesh Verma, Secretary (Fisheries), A&N Administration. The training programme was attended by Officers from Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Agriculture, Cooperative, Industries apart from Officers of Department of Fisheries posted at various places in A & N Islands. The Secretary (Fisheries) in his concluding remarks thanked the ISTM for the excellent package of training which would benefit the officers of various Departments in better office management. He also suggested that ISTM should come out with proper module of refresher courses on various subjects related to Administration and Accounts for conducting similar short term training in future.
The Secretary (Fisheries) also distributed Certificate to all the participants who have undergone the training programme.
Shri Rajesh Kumar Aggarwal, Deputy Director & Faculty, ISTM, New Delhi gave a detail account on the topics covered during the training programme.
Earlier, Dr. Utpal Kumar Sar, Director of Fisheries welcomed the Secretary (Fisheries), Faculty member of ISTM and congratulated all participants on successful completion of the training. He also appreciated the efforts of ISTM in conducting the training programme and expressed hope that it would benefit all the officers in effective discharge of their duties.
All the participants appreciated the efforts of the Department of Fisheries in organizing such training programme, which would ultimately benefit them immensely in discharge of their duties regarding Accounts and Establishment matters. The participants also suggested similar training programmes to be conducted at regular interval by the Administration to update knowledge on the subjects.
The programme was concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Shri S.C. Dey, Deputy Director of Fisheries, Department of Fisheries, Port Blair.
