Neil Island, September 21: The Neil Police Unit has seized around 60 packets of Zarda and 500 liters of Diesel from the Godown of Pandian Store today.
As per reports, on secret information received to the SHO Neil Island, a team was constituted and a raid was conducted at the Godown of Pandian Store where the team seized 60 packets of Zarda and also found a drum of Diesel of 500 liters, for which there was no bill.
The team immediately arrested the owner of Pandian store, Mr Pandian for illegally storing huge quantity of Diesel and Contraband Tobacco Products.
Andaman Sheekha learnt that the Ex-Pradhan of the area Mr Dilip has threatened the entire Police team of Neil Police Unit including the SHO for taking action against the Owner of the Pandian Store. It is also learnt that he has threatened the entire police team that he will transfer all of them to other interior Island with his influences.
