Port Blair, Sep 19: Acting swiftly on a credible information received at PS Pahargaon on 18/09/2017 that one Rajender Singh had cultivated cannabis plants at the backside of his house at Shiv Colony, Prothrapur, whereupon a raiding team headed by Insp. Sahil Shamsuddin, SHO Pahargaon and consisting of police personnel SI P. Jeevan, Head Constable Babu Rao, Constables Immamuddin Khan, Vijay Ram, Bhaskar Rao, S.N. Pathak, R.S. Rakesh and Anita Bara along with FSL team and independent witnesses under the supervision of Shri M.K. Shukla, SDPO/SA (i/c) raided the place and conducted search at the above place where few cannabis plants weighing about 1.503 Kgs were found which were seized. A case was registered. The accused was arrested on the spot u/s 20(a)(i)(C) NDPS Act 1985.
