Port Blair, Sep 05: Continuing the strict action against illegal transportation/sale of contraband tobacco in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Bamboo Flat, surprise checking of vehicles at Jirkatang No-2 was conducted by SI, Sudip Goldar, SI, Sreenivasan, HC Samson, HC Benjamin, PC Sanjay, during which recovered 450 pouches of contraband tobacco from the possession of various persons in between 14/08/17 to 31/08/2017. Similarly on 19/08/2017 SI, V.Satyawati, HC Madhav Rao, PC Paul Christopher, PC Manjula Wagh, PC Sebastin conducted raids at various shops in Wimberlygunj area and recovered 97 pouches of contraband tobacco from various shopkeepers.
