Port Blair, Sep 05: It is brought to knowledge of electricity consumers and general public that though the strike of worker of M/s. Suryacharka Power Plant, Bambooflat, has been called off, but the plant has not yet been re-started and further due to breakdown of 01 No. 3000 kVA DG set Phoenix Bay Power House, the ongoing load shedding in Port Blair and South Andaman area during evening peak hours from 5.30 PM to 11.45 PM will be exercised for 01 Hour& 15 Minutes (75 minutes) on every day as per the revised schedule.
From 05.30 PM To 06.45 PM Garacharama Sub Station, Japan Nallah, Austinabad, Prothrapur, Carbyn’s Cove, Brichgunj, Brookshabad, part of Chakkargoan, BSNL Telephone Exchange, Prem Nagar, Goalghar, Carmel School area, KV-I area, Murdakhari area, Sippighat, Teylarabad, Bimblitan, Manjeri, Guptapara, Manglutan, Wandoor, Chouldari Tushnabad, Port Mount, Tirur, Templemyo, Ograbranj, Haddo, Haddo Warf, Foreshore Road and upto Civil Aviation Delanipur, Mohanpura, Babu Lane, Aberdeen Bazaar from Ratnam Market to Taxi Stand, Aberdeen Thana & part of Gurudwara Lane.

This schedule will be enforced till further intimation. The evening hour load schedule is tentative and the duration & timing may vary in view of public meetings, important social functions or other emergency and technical reasons.In addition to evening hours, load shedding will also be carried out during day hours on as and when required basis for 60 minutes in order to carry out routine and breakdown maintenance of DG sets at the Power Plants & T&D systems.
