Port Blair, Sep 01: Mr. Vivek Rae Ex-Chief Secretary, Chairman of the committee on land issue constituted by the Home Ministry vide Order No. U-13018/1/2010-ANL dated 08-06-2017 will be visiting Port Blair to examine and to advice on the land matters.
In pursuant to the submission of Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, A & N Islands vide letter dated 22-03-2017 the Home Ministry Government of India has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Mr. Vivek Rae, Ex-Chief Secretary of A & N Administration to discuss the various issue such as excess land occupied by Post -1942 , the revenue land encroached by Post -1978, Forest land encroached by Post -1978, Compensation to the farmers towards submerged land etc with the stake holders and the PRIs in presence of Member of Parliament and to recommend the case for settlement.
In response to that Mr. Vivek Rae, Chairman of the committee is arriving Port Blair for 05 (five) days visit from 05-09-2017 to 09-09-2017 to hold the meeting with various stake holders on the above issue.
A Public hearing has been convened on 06-09-2017 at 1500 hrs (03 00PM) in the Auditorium of Government Tagore College, Middle Point, Port Blair.
All concerns hereby requested to attend the meeting alongwith the documents, if any available with them for sustaining their claims.
