Port Blair, July 11: On direction of the Lt. Governor, the District Administration of South Andaman in line with the order of Estate Office (Additional District Magistrate), South Andaman under Section 5(2) of the Public Premises Act, disposing a matter between the Education Department-Vs- Smti. Fathima W/o Late. M Moideen has ordered Tehsildar, Port Blair to vacate the Premises occupied by Smti. Fathima on 11/07/2017.
An encroachment in the form of a Semi Permanent Structure standing on land recorded in favour of Education Department at Lalta Singh Ground Haddo village under Port Blair, was bulldozed and evicted under Section 4(1) and 4(2) of Public Premises Act.
The action was led by the Eviction Team of Tehsildar Port Blair, Shri.George Varghese comprising team members Shri. Johnson, Revenue Inspector, Shri. Ajoy Mondal, Revenue Inspector, Shri. Ajit Kumar, Revenue Inspector, Shri. N. Sulaiman, Patwari, Shri. Pintu Kumuar, Patwari. And hence the lands was restored to its original shape and was handed over to the representative of Education Department.
The general public are hereby cautioned once again, against encroachment on all Govt. land. The PRI representatives are hereby appealed to cooperate with the Tehsil-staff in preventing encroachment of Govt. land.
