Port Blair, July 02: A 17 year old boy has been picked up by the Tylerabad Police Unit yesterday from Chidyatapu for stealing huge quantity of Gold and Cash from a house at Haddo.
As per reports, Manikandan (name changed) a resident of Prem Nagar area had reportedly stolen around 400 grams of Gold and Rs 35000 cash from a House situated at Haddo on 26/06/2017.
Sources said that the boy had previous history of stealing, but no case against him was registered yet being a juvenile.
Sources said that the boy went to Chidyatapu and after roaming for some time, while returning back to his house he got inside a tourist bus. But on suspicion he was questioned by the Bus Driver and staffs and was later handed over to PCR Van. He was later handed over to PS Tylerabad, where all the stolen gold and cash has been recovered, it is learnt.
It is also learnt that the Juvenile has been produced infront of the Juvenile Justice Board today. Further details are awaited.
