Diglipur, Jun 25: Thousands of devotees thronged the city streets across the route amid tight security right from Krishna Temple early evening to witness the Rath yatra that concluded by late evening today. The procession halted at Subhashgram bazaar, Madhupur road, where the local people offered ‘Maha Bhoj’ to the entire entourage.
Elaborate security measures have been put in place by the Police department to ensure peaceful passage of the Rath Yatra where people reached from various remote areas to participate in spite of rainy weather.
The Kids, young and old haul, the chariot ride, the decorated Rath with idols of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balram and Devi Subhadra in the name of service of God. The Diglipur area turned into festival style since morning.
