Port Blair, June 01: The Jan Kranti Party today demanded an additional Cargo Harbour at Port Blair. In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary the President to JKP today said that there is only one Cargo Harbour available at Port Blair since many years.
Presently due to the influx of population and additional requirement of various types of cargo to meet the daily needs of public, this Harbour is not enough.
“Therefore, it is strongly recommended that an additional Cargo Harbour may please be built at Port Blair to cater for public need,” he said in his letter.
