Port Blair, May 11: On 07.05.2017 at about 1830 hrs on receipt of credible information from the reliable sources regarding transportation of Banned Tobacco by one suspect, a raiding team consisting HC/268 K.R. Murgeshan, HC/43 J. Sajeet Kumar, HC/1546 S.S. Randhawa, PC/3021 Tanuj Kumar Dakua was immediately formed under the direction of Inspector A.K. Singh, SHO PS Aberdeen overall supervision of SDPO (SA) Shri Nishant Gupta which succeeded in apprehending the said suspect at Delanipur junction and recovered 02 Nos. bags containing 575 packets ‘Bagban 69’ tobacco from the possession of Samsuddoha Lasker s/o Shri Safiuddin Laskar, 27 years r/o Anarkarkali. The seized banned tobacco and defaulter was handed over to the Food Safety Officer for further necessary action at their end.
