Port Blair, April 17: A 20 year old boy, namely Pratish attempted suicide on 9th April, 2017, following which he was admitted in the Primary Health Centre, Chouldary.
As per reports, after two days of treatment at Chouldari PHC, the 20 year old boy was referred to the GB Pant Hospital where he died today.
According to reports, the family members of the boy later stated protest in front of the PHC Chouldary this afternoon at around 12:30 pm alleging delay referring the patient to G B Pant Hospital.
It is learnt that after an hour long protest the Medical Superintendent of the PHC convinced the protestors and the protest was called off.
Sources said that the boy committed suicide because of some personal reasons, further details are awaited.
