Port Blair, Apr 17: The cyclonic storm (Maarutha) over eastcentral Bay of Bengal further moved northeastwards and lay centred at 2330 hrs IST of yesterday, the 16 th April, 2017 over eastcentral Bay of Bengal, near Latitude 18.4º N and Longitude 94.3ºE, close to Sandoway(Thandwe), Myanmar. Latest observations indicate that the system is crossing the coast near Sandoway(Thandwe). The system is likely to move northeastwards and weaken into a deep depression during next 06 hours.
