Laxmipur, Mar 19: A passenger sustained major head injuries after he fell down from a moving bus near Laxmipur, Diglipur early this morning, later the injuries resulted in his death.
Ramanathan aged about 50 years was going to Laxmipur from Diglipur by the STS bus early morning today to check out the fruits in his plantation. Before reaching the bus-stop, he reportedly got up from his seat and was standing on foot-step of the bus.
Sadly, at a steep turning, he lost the handle grip and fell down from the moving bus and landed on GIC pipes and got major head injuries. Soon he was bought to PHC Diglipur, where he was declared dead.
He was a very known person in Diglipur and was running a tailoring shop at Samiti Shopping Complex. He left his wife, a daughter and a son. The Police registered a case and is investigating the matter.
