Port Blair, Mar 19: Prince Bajaj Showroom, Babu Lane, yesterday at around 06:30pm launched 2017 KTM 390 Duke, 250 Duke And 200 Duke in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. KTM is the largest motorcycle brand in Europe selling over 2 lakh units worth €1.14 billion in 2016.
With over 33% volume share and 41% value share, KTM claims to be the largest player in the entry to mid-segment sportsbikes segment in the country selling 37,000 units in 2016, when it grew 36%. The KTM dealer in Andaman, Mr Sagar Khurana launched the bike in Andaman, a large number of bike lovers were present during the programme.
Bajaj introduced the KTM Duke in 2012 and since then the Austrian bike-maker has grown at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 63% to become the largest selling premium naked motorcycle in the country. While the KTM Duke 390 and Duke 200 are 2017 iterations, the KTM Duke 250 is an absolutely new model that is designed on the lines of the Super Duke 1290.
