Port Blair, March 17: Padma Shree Awardee, Mr. Naresh Chander Lal, Swachh Bharat Ambassador, Andaman & Nicobar Islands today visited the Primary Health Centre Tushnabad and interacted with the Doctors, patients, outsource persons ward attendants, sisters and enquired about the cleanliness and sanitation maintained at the hospital.
As far as the proper disposal of wastes were concerned it was later pointed out and informed to Meethakhari Pradhan of the concerned area immediately by Naresh Chandra Lal, for which assurance was made by him to be implemented at his earliest.
The drinking water plant installed at the outside of the ward needs repair. For which the assurance was made by the owner for repairing of the same under the notice to the Doctor incharge of the PHC.
Later he visited Govt. Middle School Ograbraj where he interacted with the studentsto generate awareness on cleanliness, tobacco & alcohol free islands under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
