Port Blair, March 16: The Non-Gazetted Government Officers’ Association, Andaman & Nicobar Islands in support of All India Strike by the Central Government Employees at the call of Confederation of Central Government Employees & Workers, New Delhi organized a day long mass dharna at Tiranga Park, Aberdeen Bazaar from 09:00am to 4:30pm
demanding Honour of the commitment made by the Group of Ministers on 30th June and 06th July, 2016 for settlement of 21 point charter of demands that include Revision of minimum wage, fitment factor and allowance , continue HRA, ISDA, Hard area allowance etc at existing rates with effect from 01.01.2016, continue SCA and all other allowances revise overtime allowance and night duty allowance based on 7th CPC rates, Scrap PFRDA Act. Settle various issues of NPS etc.
The association also demanded to fill up the vacant posts and to stop downsizing, privatization, Outsourcing staffs in Government Sector.
