Mayabunder Mar 06: A Jan –vedana sammelan was organized by Block congress Committee at Mayabunder under the leader ship of Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma.
President of Pradesh Congress Committee led the sammelan in presence of Mr. Naveen Observer A&N Islands, Mr. Ganesh Prakash District Secretary, Mr. Sham Lal, Block General Secretary, Tius Bwa Spokeperson.
The function started from Helipad jn, where the party workers and public assembled and started a procession towards DC office and submitted a Memorandum to DC N & MA and returned to Mayabunder bazaar and conducted a huge public meeting upon the demands therein the memorandum.
The major demands are Lifting ban from Tobacco and Zarda, posting of permanent medical specialist at RP hospital, Mayabunder, open science stream and PG course at MG College Mayabuder, start night sailing by DSS and night bus service by STS, stop anti encroachment drive against all encroachment, increase the quota of tickets of charter flight and helicopters.
They also raised other local problems like subsidies in LPG and to stop the increasing prices of domestic commodities.
Showing belief on Kuldeep Rai Sharma a large number of public attended the programme.
