Port Blair, Feb 15: The Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, A & N Islands observed the 2nd Death Anniversary of Comrade S.K.Vyas, a legendary leader and former President of the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers, New Delhi on 13.02.2017 at Crusade House premises. Speaking on the occasion Shri. S.N.Mishra, Vice President of the Assocaition, recalled the visit of Com. Vyas to these islands and his contribution to resolve the issue of increase in school timing. Shri. D.Ayyappan, General Secretary, A &N Gazetted Officers’ Association, recalled the sacrifices made by Com. Vyas for the benefits being enjoyed by the central government employees today. Shri T.S.Sreekumar, General Secretary called upon the employees to follow the path shown by Com. S.K.Vyas who has been an inspiration for the entire gamut of central government employees in the country. Shri R.Surendran Pillai, Asst. General Secretary; Shri Venkat Rama Rao, Organising Secretary; Shri S.L.Vinjit, Secretary, SATB; Shri Sanjiv Singh, Secreatry, Agriculture Branch; Smt Reba Rani Sarkar, Secretary, DHS Sub-Committee also spoke on the occasion and paid tribute to the struggles & sacrifices made by the leader for the benefit of central government employees & workers. Shri R.Rajendran, Asst. General Secretary of the Association expressed vote of thanks.
