Port Blair, Jan 16: Andaman & Nicobar Islands Health Services Doctors’ Association has written a letter to President and Prime Minister of India requesting to withhold the mid-term transfer order of general duty medical officers.
In a letter addressed to President of India as well as the Prime Minister, the association has requested their intervention as the transfer order issued to them were against the Administration transfer policy no. 55-3.86-PW dated 30th December 1992 & also against guidelines for transfer by Director of Health Services, A &N Administration dated 10th May 2001.
The association mentioned in their letter that they are not against the Lt. Governor nor against the Chief Secretary of A&N Administration for their transfer instead the association requests to withheld the transfer till April 2017 for the final examination of doctors Kins & Kith in higher classes considering the representation of doctors which are genuine and later a fresh transfer order may be published at the end of April-May 2017.
