Port Blair, Dec 22: A Special Gram Sabha Meeting of Mannarghat was held on 22nd December, 2016 at Community Hall, Malapuram “To Promote Cashless Transaction in Rural Areas” on the large gathering in the meeting, the representatives of Lead Bank, State Co-Operative Bank & State Bank of India – Shri. P.K Ummer Farooq, (Lead District Manager), Shri M. K. Rajan Kunju (DGM) and Shri Kuldeep Kumar (Branch Manager, Wimberlygunj) respectively were delivering their speech on the cashless transaction.
They approached the present attendance to come forward and adopt the cashless transaction they ensured is very easy and safe too. They also asked to seed the AADHAR & Mobile Number to their respective bank account number. On enquiry they assured to shop keepers that bank will provide the POS machines within 15 days of date of approach to the bank. At the end the Pradhan, Shri O. Bashir expressed his sincere thanks to the banks Officers for sparing their valuable time for Gram Panchayat Mannarghat for spreading awareness to villagers of remote area on cashless transaction. He also thanked villagers for participating in the meeting.
