Mayabunder, Dec 21: Nearly 220 grams of Ganja and tobacco products have been seized by a police team of PS Mayabunder this morning during checking of passengers, arrived from Kolkata by MV Nicobar this morning.
The Ganja has been seized from the possession of Mr. Rajendra Nath Mandal, aged 68 years and a resident of Nibutala, Rangat.
The accused was later brought to PS Mayabunder for necessary legal action.
Meanwhile, 10+2 packets containing tobacco (Zarda) 45 gram each packet was recovered by CID staff Mayabunder and 01 tin Zarda & 1 ½ kg tobacco leaf was recovered by Food Safety officer.
Later all the tobacco was handed over to FSO for further legal action.
