Port Blair, Dec 14: The Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers, New Delhi is organising a massive Parliament March at New Delhi on 15.12.2016 against breach of assurance given by the Central Government and undue delay in declaration of enhanced allowances. In support of the Parliament March, the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, Andaman and Nicobar Islands is organising “Raj Nivas March” on 15th December, 2016 from the Secretariat in the evening at 5 p.m.
The Raj Niwas March will be inaugurated by Shri D.Ayyappan, General Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Gazetted Officers’ Association at the Secretariat Gate. This programme will be the 3rd Phase of the protest programmes chalked-out by the Confederation demanding early settlement of 20-point Charter of Demands which also include (i) Revision of Minimum Wage & Fitment formula (ii) Implement Option-1 as recommended by 7th CPC to pensioners (iii) Scrap PFRDA Act & New Pension Scheme (iv) Regularization of DRMs, Casual workers & contract employees (v) Withdraw ‘Very Good” benchmark for MACP/promotion and Annual increment, etc., Similar programmes will be organised at various outstations like Diglipur, Billyground, Rangat, etc. also.
