Port Blair, Dec 06: As the entire country mourns the loss of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, her supporters in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands also paid last respects to their beloved leader.
Prayers meetings were organized at Port Blair, Diglipur, Mayabunder, Rangat etc villages where thousands of people gathered and offered their respects and tribute throughout the day.
At Port Blair shops in several areas were kept closed to show respect to the departed soul.
