Port Blair, Dec 04: The Nehru Yuva Kendra, Rangat in collaboration with Youth Clubs of Billiground is organizing Football Knockout Tournament under Block Level Sports Meet from 03/12/2016 at Billiground in which 08 teams from the area of Billiground, Dharmapur, Nimbudera and Swadeshnagar are participating. The inaugural match of the tournament was played between Seven Sister Memorial Youth Club, Dharmapur V/s Pinakinagar Yuva Samiti, Pinakinagar. Seven Sister Memorial Youth Club, Dharmapur defeated Pinakinagar Yuva Samiti by 2-0. On the occasion of inaugural match Shri Hiranmoy Roy, Ex-Pradhan, Harinagar Panchayat was the chief guest and he was introduced with the players of both teams. In his speech he expressed his happiness for organizing the tournament and conveyed his best wishes for both teams. Earlier Shri Alphonce Toppo, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Rangat welcomed the chief guest and gathering. The final match of the tournament will be held on 07/12/2016 at the same venue.
