Port Blair, Dec 02: The Chairperson, A&N State Social Welfare Board, Dr. Poonam Arora has expressed happiness for the induction of 1st Batch of trainees in Hospitality under “Divyang Saksham” by the Lt. Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi at Netaji Stadium on the platform of Celebration of International Divyang Diwas on 3rd Dec., 2016. The skill development programme is organized by Social Welfare Board in collaboration with NABARD. This training programme will be for 2 months which will be conducted in the Conference Hall of A&N State Social Welfare Board, Port Blair from 4.12.2016.
On 2nd January 2017, after 02 theory and practical workshops, the candidates will be identified for the maintenance and housekeeping departments particularly. The rest of the workshop will be done on imparting expert training to them as per their potential. Placement of the candidates will be facilitated by the Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Hoteliers Association of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Target is to give training & help the students of differently able persons to get job placement according to their potential.
