Port Blair, Nov 15: Sensing the difficulties being faced by the general public following demonetizing of 500 & 1000 denomination currencies, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, A & N Islands has tried to reach out to the people and explain the long term benefits to the honest and the commoners.
He also played the visual clip in a large size screen erected over a vehicle, which carried the appeal of Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India during a public program at Goa.
In the said public appeal the PM explained about the greater objective in the implementation of the scheme and asked the people to bear the difficulties upto December 30, 2016, He further added that the demonetization scheme will not only help in unearthing of Black money hidden by the corrupt people, but will also help the curbing of terrorist activities & fake currency menace.
Shri Modi appealing to the people has urged the people to bear the transformation difficulties in the greater interest of the country, in the said public address.
The screening of Prime Minister’s speech was organized at Junglighat and Gandhi Statue, Aberdeen Bazar on 14th November. Large number of people gathered and heard the appeal of PM. The people also appreciated the MP for organizing the show for creation of awareness in people.
Apart from the Member of Parliament, Shri Prakash Adhikari, State General Secretary, BJP, A & N Islands, Shri R Vimod, Ex-State Vice President, State BJP, Shri Anil Tiwari, Convener, Training Cell, BJP, Mrs. Sheela Singh, Ex-Chairperson of PBMC, Shri Bharat Sharma, active member BJP among others were present on the occasion.
The screening of PM’s speech was also organized at Shadipur and Dairyfarm on 15th November 2016 in the evening. This initiative will continue for another one week in the city and elsewhere in the islands.
