Mayabunder Nov 07: Government servants of Mayabunder region lack Government quarters in general pool but the various quarters of general pool are occupied by either retired government servant or are vanishing without maintenance.
The District Administration seems to be sleeping tight while vacant quarters available in various parts of Mayabunder region are almost vanished and the buildings are now being used by the anti-social elements for consumption of liquor and all other kind of anti-social activities.
Inside some of the discarded government quarters one can find liquor bottles, disposal glasses, mineral water bottles, snacks packets and used condoms, which proofs that these discarded quarters are frequented by anti-social elements.
In some cases anti-social elements enter inside these discarded quarters with ladies, even when people living nearby area are watching them.
If the Administration takes initiative to maintain the quarters it can be useful for lots of Government servants who come for work from more than 30 KM away from Mayabunder.
The Government servants coming on transfer to various departments are not getting quarters often single ladies coming on transfer find it very difficult to find a shelter in Mayabunder.
It is shameful for the administration because inaction is only encouraging anti-social elements of Mayabunder region. Hope the District Administration will wake up and take stringent action in this regard.
