Port Blair, Nov 04: The Pradhan of Neil Island has expressed his gratitude to Mr. Shekar Banik R/O Wandoor, Port Blair presently working as a tourist guide at Neil Island.
Mr. Shekar Banik while guiding his own guest at Natural Bridge, Laxmanpur found a bag containing a cash amount of Rs. 60,000/- (Rupees Sixty Thousand only ), a tab and other valuable documents.
As a part of his noble character he at once reported the matter to the local police and handed over the bag to the SHO, Neil Island police Station.
Based on the details of the documents the police immediately found the owner of the bag and handed over the bag with all belongings to Mr. Jathin T.K. S/o T.K. Narayan R/o Jibbin College, Wayanad , Kerala.
The Gram Panchayat Neil Kendra is thankful to Mr. Shekar Banik (Tourist Guide) and the police department for this humanitarian act.
