Port Blair, Nov 01: Vigilance Awareness Week-2016 on the theme “Public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption” is being organized in befittingly manner at ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair from 31st October to 5th November, 2016.
The programme has commenced with the pledge taking ceremony on 31.10.2016. A week long programmes comprising of essay writing, workshop-cum- debate on the theme “Eradication of corruption – Role of youth in Nation Building” painting competition etc. have been scheduled for the staff and wards of CIARI and students from various schools and colleges of Port Blair. Mr Udit Prakash Rai, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman will deliver a guest lecture on the theme “Public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption” at 3 pm on Nov 4 in the conference hall of CIARI. The week long programme is being organized by Dr. R. K. Gautam, Vigilance Officer & Organizing Secretary and Dr. P K Singh, Co- Organizing Secretary under the overall guidance of Dr. S. Dam Roy, Director, ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair.
