Port Blair, Oct 31: 1(AN) Naval Unit NCC, Port Blair will be conducting the Annual Training Camp for the year 2016 for the Naval NCC Cadets of A& N Islands at Govt. Middle School, Telugu Medium, Haddo, Port Blair for a period of 10 days from 2nd November to 11th November 2016. Approximately 325 NCC cadets alongwith ANOs/Caretakers of Naval Wing from schools and colleges of these Islands are likely to attend the camp. This camp is specially organized for the 2nd year & 3rd Year NCC Cadets as attending the camp is a mandatory requirement to be eligible for appearing for A, B & C NCC certificate examinations. During the camp, cadets will be put through training modules on various aspect of Naval NCC. Social service activities and cleanliness drive under the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’ will also be conducted by the NCC cadets at various places of the city. Lectures on various important issues will be delivered by the resource persons from various Govt. Departments. Disaster management, Rain water harvesting, Traffic management, and Fire fighting capsules will be conducted. During the period of Camp, the Unit’s office will remain closed at Junglighat from 2nd November to 11th November 2016. The office will be temporarily shifted to the camp venue at Govt. Middle School, Telugu Medium, Haddo, Port Blair. Any official correspondence during the camp period may be delivered at the camp site.”
