Port Blair, Oct 28: To mark the celebrations of ‘National Ayurveda Day’ on Oct 28, a series of free Ayurveda Health Camps was organized by the AYUSH wing of DHS, A & N State AYUSH Society in collaboration with Regional Research Centre Ayurveda, Govt. of India at different locations of South Andaman (i.e. at JNRM-Girls Hostel on 24th October; Police Lines, ANP on 25th October; Vanasadan, Dept. of Forests on 26th October; and Chouldari Community Hall on 27th October) with the theme ‘Ayurveda for Prevention and Control of Diabetes’. Free check-up of Blood sugar, Hemoglobin and Blood Pressure was arranged along with advice on diet and lifestyle to prevent & control Diabetes, and associated conditions. Around 400 patients (including students, Police & Forest personnel and general public) benefited by the camps. The team of doctors consisting of Dr. Kalyan P. Kadbhane, P.O (AYUSH), Dr. Rekha, Dr. Keerti, Dr. Abdul Lateef and Dr. Sandhya S. rendered their services.
