Port Blair, Oct 21: On 08.10.16, acting on a tip of credible information about gambling, a Police party of PS Billiground, consisting of SI V.K. Maurya, HCs/Madan & M. Mohan PCN. Mohammed Aslam under the close supervision of SI. R.K. Mazumdar, SHO PS Billiground raided a gambling den and arrested 06 persons namely 1. Pratap Kerketta S/o Lawrence Kerkettta (25 yrs) R/o. Thoratang, Billiground 2. Somra Barick S/o. Late. Nand Lall Barick (40 yrs), R/o. Thoratang, Billiground, 3. Sahadu Kindo S/o. Shri. Biswanath Kindo (36yrs), R/o Thoratang, Billiground, 4. Manka Munda S/o. Shri. Birsa Munda (39 yrs) R/o Thoratang, Billiground, 5. Nagen Halder S/o. Shri. Anil Halder (35yrs), R/o. Dharmapur, Billiground and 6. Francis Tirkey S/o Shri. Augustin Tirkey (42 yrs), R/o. Thoratang, Billiground from the Gym room, Thoratang. The arrested persons were booked under A&N Islands Gambling Reg.1956.
